It was nice knowing your story. It gets easier. Can be frustrating. You have the satisfaction of knowing that it was all done by yourself, you get to take credit for that. I understand why different rules in different places are confusing. Its a lot of change which can be overwhelming. I have been trying to write my own immigrant story.

It portrays well the innocent hope of foreign immigrants’ dreams, projects and life plans that are shattered by ruthless Real London.
With the onset of the global pandemic all over the world countries are taking on protectionist measures and doctors driving taxis is precisely what the next batch of immigrants coming to the UK needs to know.
Since 2020 London has faced the largest exodus of migrant force since WWll as they basically had to flee for their lives – their housing and working conditions placed them at risk.
Authentic London is miles away from the glossy marketing brochures!

I agree that being a forienger in a new country can be tricky in many situations – especially where language comes into play. It can also work in our favour too; in Slovenia especially, I’ve found people are quite receptive and interested in foriengers who have come from what they perceive as ‘good’ countries (which includes the US and UK). How have you found your immigrant experience in Slovenia compares to that in the UK?
